SAN ANGELO, Texas — San Angelo native Blaze Bowers is set to star in the upcoming independent film What Happens in 309, which is scheduled to premiere this November at Hyperreal Film Club before being submitted to film festivals.
Bowers, who comes from a rodeo and ranching background, made the move into acting and modeling less than a year ago. Before entering the entertainment industry, he worked with his family’s business, Bruton Trailers, competed in rodeo, and helped eight-time World Champion team roper Rich Skelton during his roping schools.
“I was just roping before all this,” Bowers said.
Since making the career change, Bowers has landed the lead role in What Happens in 309. He has also modeled for James Oro Glasses, become the lead face of DFRNT KIND’s Western collection, and has two more films in the works.
“It’s been a crazy transition,” Bowers said. “I’ve been very blessed.”
The film marks Bowers’ first lead acting role and is expected to premiere this November before making its way through the film festival circuit
